@Roboflux No we haven’t. Tactical/Survival isn’t a big focus of ours, but it looks like they make great products. Have you? – Josh

@Roboflux The whale is simply one of our mascots. Also a source of inspiration to all.

The classic video revisited! That first meal video was a blast to watch, thanks for updating it. It is cool that they wanted you guys to get the word out on their new recipe. Great job as always. Nice Blues hat in the first meal video Ben! Good to see you fellas representing hockey.

@CampingGearTV I just speak for myself when I made that comment. I enjoy a hearty eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, orange juice, coffee, and fresh fruit breakfast as just about anybody else. The thing is, I rarely eat that type of breakfast when I am at home and certainly don’t see myself stepping it up and going “exotic” while backpacking and becoming one with nature. That is only me, though.

@tiff198325 Yeah absolutely. Really cool. Thanks tiff!

@ColinOutdoors Ha! I’m guessing they had this in the works long before we came around. But it is cool to see a company respond and recognize that they need to make changes.
February 11th, 2011 at 6:43 pm
@ebj8762 It’s definitely not for everybody. But many of their “meals” are far more exotic than oatmeal. The huevos rancheros is an example. I don’t know how to freeze dry my own eggs, would rather just pay the $5 for a couple servings. Granted, you will often find me eating easy mac and granola bars. But the new BP recipes are much, much improved. – Josh

cool to see companies care about there product enough to change it for there customers…great video guys.c-ya next time

Looks like you guys got this company to revamp their recipe, good job, seems to have done the trick
February 11th, 2011 at 9:22 pm
I don’t understand how these companies stay in business. $5-$10 for a meal that the taste is just edible and you have to prepare yourself if outright absurd. I guess if you have a lot of money and no creativity then this is probably the product for you. You can buy a variety box of oatmeal with 12 packs in it for less than $4. You also don’t have to drive across town to buy it or wait on it to come in the mail. Love you Ben and Josh, greatly dislike Buttpackers Pantry.
