Are the big agnes bags that require sleeping pads good?

A reader asked..
I want to upgrade and shave weight off my backpacking gear. I’m really interested in big agnes’s setup that combines sleeping bag and pad. Has anyone used this system and how does it hold up in cold weather?

    Yes they are very comfortable. You could sleep on a pile of rocks and hardly notice. It stands great in cold weather to.
