Another nice video Jim. You said you slipped off your mat a few times in the night. Do you use put your sleeping bag into a bivi bag, because if you do you can also slide your foam mat or air matress down in the bag between your sleeping bag and the bivi bag. You can shuffle about all night and your insulation moves with you

@Cr0cket20 It’s my favorite stove I have a canister stove and a Coleman liquid fuel but the simplicity of the alcohol stove rocks there easy and fun to make and cheap

  5. Cr0cket20 Says:

Me and my boss were talking about the alcohol stoves today. Pretty cool. 5*

@mem7048 I have a nylon rip stop rain parka I can wear on outside but wasn’t that cold or wet It was dark and wasn’t using my head lamp to navigate so my own fault the coat is fine though thanks for commenting buddy O

@FixedByDoc well the problem was rolling of the mat is only 20″ wide now the mat did keep sliding on the ground tarp which was a rural pain.

Another great video Jim! I have a down coat and suffer from thorn abuse as well. I had a local seamstress make me an overcoat out of camo material for it. It velcroes on in a few places, and has saved it for a couple of years of rough use. It appears time to go to hammock camping to me. Nice comfortable night’s rest, no creepy-crawlies, and so much easier to set up w/ proper tarp. Awesome job! 5/5

I used dots of GOOP on my mat and now it doesnt slip around. After I get my Kelty Noah 12×12 silnylon tarp I might consider this one for a back up. It looked much better once you were actually under it.
