Looks like a good time. Thanks for the great vids. cheers
Great video David. It really makes us miss the colder temperatures. You just can't beat a nice warm cup of tea, coffee or cocoa while out on those winter adventures can ya? ? Thanks for sharing! – Chris
great outing, sad that I'm taking forever to re-lace my snowshoes this past winter.
Just watched the Dakota Fire Hole video. That's a good way to concentrate heat where you want it and it saves on wood. There is a method being used for heating houses which uses the same technique and its called a Rocket Mass Heater. These guys are ingeniously using this technique, the heat from the fire pit gets transferred to a 40 Gallon drum and gives off terrific heat for a fraction of the wood used. Thanks again
Good stuff bro! I love hiking in the cold!
Keep up the good work my friend !
looking forward to more
Snow is good! Great video with your new GoPro. I love snowshoeing, but it's been more than 30 years since we lived in snow country (UP Michigan). It rarely freezes in southeast Texas, where we now live. Your video brings back great memories.
It's always a nice way to spend an afternoon. Liked the shot variations. ATB
Nice day for some shoeing Dave thanks for sharing !atb john
My computer is down! I have to unsub. Will be back in a few months, David!
Good editing, some unique angles and views. Great vid … dude. Nothing like coffee (or tea) over an open fire. thanks
Lovely scenery you have to go hike throughHappy trails
Awesome video Dave. love footage, I should look into snow shoes
David, nice hike man, ty for letting us tag along
Nice hike David, made me shiver a bit sitting here in my recliner. Looks like the GoPro did well. I was hoping you would bushcraft yourself a small chair while your water was boiling ?
Good video, and nice new camera! If your looking for a deal on wool pants they do often go on sale as the weather warms up the next couple months. 3yrs ago I got a pair of Cabelas "Superwash" 24oz wool pants for only $40. Then I lost weight and need a smaller size, last year I paid $60-$70 for a second pair. I just checked and they are currently $100, but they may go on sale again soon. They also seem to go on sale in the fall just before hunting season.
They are not Filson quality, but they are easily worth $70 if you find them on sale.
The GoPro cameras seem very popular with YouTubers but videos made with a GoPro often have a 'fish-eye' effect. Is this intentional? Can the fish-eye effect be disabled or corrected with a filter or lens? Also, who makes the snowshoes you are using in the video?
